Being there… better than a thousand photographs

There’s nothing quite like being at a big celebration with family and friends but it can be a challenge for older family members. The Doris Jones Chaperone Service can help.

We are honoured to have accompanied many older relatives to the weddings and celebrations of their loved ones, making it possible for them to see things first hand, take part and soak up the atmosphere.

“Having Jan there to help mum get her frock on, accompany her to the venue and be on hand during the day made all the difference. Mum being there made the day extra special for us all. And She loved it so much, she hasn’t stopped smiling since!” (DH, daughter of a client)

Our professional carers can help with getting ready, organise transport, and be on hand to make sure you all enjoy the special day, without anybody needing to worry. And we’ll get them home and safely to bed too, if needed.

If you’d like us to make it possible for those special to you to be there with you, please get in touch to discuss arrangements.

Here for everyday events, not just the big ones

Our care isn’t limited to the home. We’re here to support you or your loved one in getting out and about, enjoying daily activities, and staying connected to the community.

A stroll to the local coffee shop, a trip to the supermarket, or an evening at the theatre — these are just some of the outings we can help with. We also offer support getting to appointments, social groups, classes, or family gatherings, providing a reassuring presence and practical assistance whenever it’s needed.

Staying active and engaged plays a huge part in maintaining both physical and mental wellbeing. While mobility challenges or reduced confidence can sometimes make this feel daunting, it shouldn’t mean missing out.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or someone you care about, we’re here to help make life that bit easier — and more enjoyable. Get in touch to find out how we can support you.
